Oh, man. I've really done it this time.

It was all the coconut manna's fault, I swear!

If you haven't yet had the privilege, do your self a favor.

Stock up on the king of all nutty spreads and shmears.

Almond butter, step aside!

This stuff is like pure gold. Raw coconutty-goodness pureed into a gooey, perfectly-sweet paste.

Choc filled with good-for-you fats and cravable flavor.

Toast that coconut before hand? Whole new world.

It all starts with coconuts.

Oh, and my sweet tooth.

I recently acquired a big ol' jar of organic raw manna, and decided it had to be put to use.

(before it mysteriously disappeared)

What's more?? Valentine's Day. Right around the corner. I want sweet things to share. And eat.

I want to stay on track with my health and fitness goals, too, goddamnit!

Lucky for me, shakeology has my back on that one.

Vegan strawberry goodness, packed with dense nutrition. Thank god....cuz it was about to get real.

Naturally, it wasn't long before I was mixing shakeology and manna and cacao and maca and nuts into bliss.

Result? Irresistible squares of joyful delight.

Vegan, Paleo, Keto, 21 Day Fix--approved. Protein. Dat good fat. Flavor.

Without further ado, I present to you:

Cacao Covered Strawberry Squares

For base:

  • 2 scoops shakeology
  • 1/3 c softened manna
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened, shredded coconut
  • 1 tsp stevia
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • pinch salt

For middle layer:

  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons cacao
  • 1 tablespoon salted cashews
  • 2 tsp maca powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp stevia

For topping:

  • 1 tablespoon shredded coconut

  1. Mix together base ingredients.
  2. Press into oiled 3x5 mold, or individual baking cups, and refrigerate 1 hour.
  3. For middle layer, melt coconut oil for 15 seconds in microwave. Stir in cacao, maca, stevia, and vanilla.
  4. Sprinkle cashews over base, and cover with cacao mixture.
  5. Immediately sprinkle with coconut topping
  6. Refrigerate about 30 minutes, if you can wait that long.

And it gets better!

This recipe is SO versatile.

Whatever you can dream up, toss it in.

Melt-in-your-mouth bites of perfection.

Berry Almond Fudge.

Pumpkin Spice.

Toasted Coconut Macaroon.

Thin Mint.

Almond Joy.

Cookie Dough.

Pumpkin Cacao

Texture of temptation.

The best iteration I tried (there were many, delicious trials)

Hands down-- pumpkin puree. This secret ingredient these guys the PERFECT silky-smooth, soft mouth feel.

Oh, and loads of micronutrients.

I replaced the strawberry shakeology with vanilla or chocolate, and simply added in a cup of pumpkin puree.

Totally thrilled with the result.

Why not toss together a batch for your valentine?!

Or for me.

I've never been known to turn down some ridiculously delicious vegan fudge.
