Healthy, nut-free, no-bake, and just three ingredients

It's almost apple season!

‍This has been the fourth hottest year on record, and it might be hard to imagine the leaves will soon be changing, crispy apples ripening, and kiddos back to school.

But all those things will happen.

Honestly, I've never been as excited for autumn as I am now, living in PA.

I may end up living in a cooler climate next.

In 2020 I'll be embarking on a new journey as a registered dietitian, we'll see where it takes me.

In the meantime, making a big batch of these and imagining the leaves crunching beneath my feet

APPLE PIE BREAKY BARS

  • 1 1/2 c cinnamon apple sauce 
  • 1 c coconut flour*
  • 1 c sunflower seed butter, or nut butter of choice 
  • optional: ashwaghanda, mucuna pruriens powder, or maldon sea salt and cinnamon for topping
  1. Mix all ingredients.
  2.  Pour onto parchment paper on a cutting board. 
  3. Add cinnamon and salt topping, if desired.
  4. Place in freezer for about 15 minutes, until firm
  5. Slice into squares, store in freezer
*Can replace up to half with collagen peptides for added protein/benefits!
